Zawoja Scenic Webcams

The views on this collection of webcams may inspire you to do one of several things. You might find yourself starting to plan a hike through the forests of the Babia Góra National Park. If not that then you could find yourself making a Google search on the Hanka Holiday Resort to see what they have to offer or alternatively, you may just let out a sigh at the peacefulness of the scenery. Whatever effect these live feeds have on you, there’s no denying they’ll have you entranced.

The village of Zawoja nestles under the shadow of Babia Góra, a one-thousand seven-hundred and twenty-five metre high massif in the Beskid Mountains. Mount Babia Góra gives its name to the parklands that surround it, the Babia Góra National Park, one of the first ever parks to be designated a UNESCO biosphere reserve. The stretch of unspoilt-by-human-hand terrains cover over thirty square kilometres and are the habitat of wildlife such as lynx, bears and wolves which is great unless you meet one or the other head on while hiking along one of the area’s many trails.

Zawoja is a village, but with well over six-thousand residents it ranks high on the list of Poland’s largest rural urbanizations. Its population swells even more during the winter months when the skiing and snowboarding crowds arrive to make the most of the surrounding snow-covered slopes. If you find snowy scenes as revitalising as forests and pastures of green, don’t hesitate to revisit these live feeds when there’s that magical white stuff blanketing the ground.
