Wonders of Wildlife National Museum & Aquarium Webcams in Springfield

When a city is as far from the ocean as Springfield in Missouri is, there’s only one way to educate its community about marine life and that’s to bring the ocean to them. That is, in part, what they do at the Johnny Morris’ Wonders of Wildlife National Museum and Aquarium.

Not only is this facility an aquarium dedicated to subaquatic creatures of the deep, it’s also a celebration of terrestrial animal life. It basically leaves no stone of the natural world and its inhabitants, whether on land or in water, unturned. While the marine life in the aquariums is alive and floating, check out the Marvels of the Deep cam – it would make a great screensaver, sadly the mammals and aves exhibited are not and have long since suffered their fate at the hands of a taxidermist. But the exhibits in the Native American Hall, the National Parks Hall and the Boone and Crockett Hall do, as they quite rightly say, demonstrate the true connection between man and his environment. Thankfully, as most of the creatures on display are now part of different conservation programs, there won’t be too many new heads being added to the collection.
