The Sacré-Cœur Webcam, Paris

Paris has some outstanding monuments and Le Sacre Coeur de Montmartre is, without a doubt, one of them.

Construction on the Le Sacre Coeur de Montmartre began in the late 19th century and took almost forty years to complete. At its tallest point it’s a towering eighty-three metres high and as the basilica sits on top of the Montmartre hill in Paris’ 18th arrondissement, the highest point in the French capital, it can be seen from just about everywhere in the city.

Whether the thousands of annual visitors to Le Sacre Coeur de Montmartre go there to pray or just to climb up into its magnificent dome, only they know. It does offer one of the best views of Paris though so even if you’re not religious it’s worth making the pilgrimage for the incredible panoramic vistas. If you get bored with viewing the unchanging image of the basilica on this webcam streamed by Paris TV try counting chimney pots. It can prove to be highly entertaining, but a little time consuming.
