City of Reno Webcams

Reno may be, half-heartedly it seems, in the throes of attempting to compete with Las Vegas for the title of best excitement city in the desert state of Nevada, but it already excels at one thing Vegas doesn’t. Take a look at this collection of Reno live feeds and, forget the neon, you’ll soon realise that when it comes down to focusing webcams at obscure angles, in Reno, they’re absolute masters of the art.

The Plaza cam is a good place to start checking Reno out, but if you suffer from vertigo this is one webcam you won’t want to be viewing for too long. Down there, in the plaza somewhere, are two of the city’s renowned pieces of artwork. One, a three and a half metre high, steel sculpture rescued from the 2013 Burning Man Festival and the other, the Space Whale, a metal and stained-glass sculpture of a humpback whale and its calf.

While that whale statue may be a nod to preserving nature, you’ll need to click into the Silver Lake feed to be able to see what Reno is really doing about preserving nature. On a count of one to ten, they’re doing a grand job as far as Silver Lake is concerned. There might not be any whales in this landlocked state, but when they’re all set on creating nature reserves like Silver Lake, they get a big thumbs up.
