High Five Student Accommodation Development Webcam, Utrecht

If you’re the parent of an alumni at Utrecht University hoping to check out how clean your offspring is keeping their campus accommodation, you’ve lucked out and rightly so.

This webcam is focused on the High Five construction site which, at the stage it’s at, is probably as messy as any student’s accommodation on a good day. It won’t be for much longer though. After the building is completed, sometime in 2025, it’ll provide over seven hundred small apartments as well as numerous communal living areas for students studying at the university. There’ll also be underground parking for more than a thousand bicycles. Would it be a building in the Netherlands if it didn’t? Once construction ends it’ll definitely be tidy externally, but when there’s over nine hundred students living in it, who knows what it’ll look like on the inside. That’s something that shouldn’t be broadcast over a live feed and is best left to the imagination.
