Hebara Beach Webcams in Katsuura
A quick glance at the views on this collection of beach webcams may initially convince you you’re looking at somewhere in the Mediterranean. The conglomerate of electricity cables and tiled roofs could be any coastal village in Italy or Greece, but in this case they’re not. When you spot the kana writing daubed across the screen, you’ll know that this is not anywhere in Europe, but without a doubt, somewhere in Japan.
Hebara Beach lines the coastline of the city of Katsuura on the Japanese island of Honshu. Katsurra itself may not be as popular as Tokyo, Osaka or even Kyoto with regular visitors on cultural sightseeing trips, but ask a surfer or sun-worshipper which city they prefer and you’ll get a pretty quick answer and that answer will be Katsuura.
You don’t need to be someone who practises flow yoga to appreciate the sunrise at Hebara Beach, but you will need to get up earlier than if you were staying anywhere else to appreciate it as the natural daily phenomena can occur as early as four in the morning. Is it worth setting your alarm clock and heading to Hebara Beach at that time of day? Definitely, and especially if you want to capture an incomparable snapshot for your social media. If you’re a surfer as well, don’t leave your board at your hotel as you’ll want to catch one of the beach’s infamous reef breaks as soon as it gets light.
