Fuerteventura Airport Webcam
This is a great webcam for watching aircraft arriving and departing from Fuerteventura airport so long as there’s not a dust storm or heat haze rising off the tarmac to distort the view.
Fuerteventura is the second largest of the Canary Islands, a small Spanish archipelago that lies just a few miles off the coast of North Africa. While Fuerteventura may be the second largest island, its flat monotonous brown volcanic landscapes don’t attract as many holidaymakers as neighbouring Tenerife or Gran Canaria. There’s still plenty of aviation traffic coming and going at El Matorral though as on average the airport caters for around five million people a year. Even with that amount of annual visitors the island’s beaches often appear deserted. Why? Lay on a beach in Fuerteventura and you won’t be in for a relaxing tanning session, but a session of exfoliation. Exfoliating may be good for the skin, but not by sandblasting. In Fuerteventura it pretty much blows a constant gale, but that does have its bonuses – especially if you’re a windsurfer.
