Creek & Forest Webcam in the Sassoguidano Reserve
When you’ve got enough time on your hands to sit and observe moss growing on a stone or the seasonal change of the leaves on the trees, which can turn out to be time-consuming, this is the perfect live feed for you. If you were just looking for a peaceful bit of scenery to help you unwind, you’ve found it. It’s so tranquil, you may well feel yourself nodding off while viewing. Don’t worry, nothing untoward will happen to startle you awake so enjoy your forty winks. That said, the cam does change angles on occasion so don’t be surprised if you wake up to a different view to what you snoozed to.
The Sassoguidano Nature Reserve, where this feed is being streamed from, is located in northern central Italy in the Province of Modena. It’s about a three-hour drive from the coastal city of Genoa and just over an hour from Bologna so if you’re looking for more than virtual escapism, Bologna is the place to book your bargain-priced flight to. You’d need more than a weekend to explore the reserve as, while it isn’t enormous, it covers around seven-hundred acres of countryside which is a lot to tramp through in a couple of days.
Leave the sound on and you’ll soon discover that the liveliest part of this feed is the trickling of the creek as it meanders through the woods. There are multiple species of birds and mammals inhabiting the reserve so, if you’re patient, you may well spot some of them coming to quench their thirst or wandering through. Then again, you may not. If you do spot some wildlife let us know about it in the comments. We’ll be interested to hear about them unless it’s a grass snake. You can keep that sighting to yourself, we don’t want to know.
