Conn Brown Harbor in Aransas Pass
With a population of less than eight thousand, Aransas Pass doesn’t seem to match up to the saying that everything is bigger in Texas or at least it seems that way until you see Conn Brown Harbor. It’s big. Doesn’t have a lot of boats moored there, but that’s probably something that will change pretty quickly.
Aransas Pass is a small town that faces out onto Redfish Bay and is separated from the Gulf of Mexico by a landmass known as Mustang Island. It’s a welcoming community with hopes of becoming a retirement paradise. Recent renovations of the harbor area included new boat ramps, docks and a fishing pier with state-of-the-art cleaning stations complete with running water. If that doesn’t hook a decent catch of retirees then nothing will.
