Slovenia lies to the east of Italy and borders the Mediterranean to the south and the Alps to the north. Ljubljana is the capital and largest city with a historic Old City. After the 1511 earthquake it was rebuilt in baroque style and after the 1895 earthquake it was rebuilt in Art Nouveau style so there is an eclectic mix of architecture. Its main feature is the Ljubljana Castle which has stood solid since the 12th century. Enjoy some local sights on the webcams, including great ski slope scenes.
