Home to King Arthur’s Round Table, the New Forest and two of England’s largest ports at Portsmouth and Southampton, Hampshire can win most boasting contests. Just across the Solent is the Isle of Wight and the area is popular for sailing and maritime history. Portsmouth has the preserved remains of Henry VIII’s warship, the Mary Rose, and the world’s oldest commissioned warship, HMS Victory. Castles, cathedrals, forests and shopping malls take up most of this county along with the National Motor Museum at Beaulieu.
