Tiny Gibraltar, or ‘The Rock’ as it is known, is a self-governing British Colony on the southernmost tip of Spain, overlooking the narrow Straits of Gibraltar. It covers just 6.8 km2, has 28,000 residents and is an important Royal Navy base.
