Flagstaff Cam

If the last thing that comes to mind when you think of Arizona is snow, it’s time to think again.

The town of Flagstaff sits at an altitude of seven-thousand feet in a mountainous region of Arizona. Winters can be harsh there and temperatures start to drop from as early as September. When snow falls it falls by the bucketful and has been known to reach a depth of forty inches in a day.

Surrounded as it is by the rugged mounds of the Kachina Peaks Wilderness, including the state’s highest mountain, Humphreys Peak, and the ponderosa pines of the Coconino National Forest, Flagstaff becomes a natural wonderland when winter comes around.
