Pig Farm Webcam in Hilter

View this live feed streaming from the barns of a farm in Hilter, Germany, and you may come to the conclusion that pigs are unusual creatures. While they appear in some ways to resemble mini land-bound hippos, and given half a chance they will enjoy a swim or at least a muddy wallow in shallow water, they’re not really similar to hippos at all.

Pigs, unlike hippos, are omnivorous and will chow down on just about anything they can get their chompers on. As you’ll see, if you watch long enough, these pigs love to have a snuffle through the hay in search of tasty morsels to chew on. And they’ll do that for quite some time before they get tired and flop down in the straw for a well-earned snooze.

Watch long enough and you’ll also start to notice that these pigs have unique characters. Some are as placid as they come while others can only be described as downright naughty. While some might be sluggish and trying to snooze off their latest food binge, there’ll be one, or more, floppy-eared swine that will waddle over and give them a wake-up poke with their snout. It’s those cheeky grunter antics that make this webcam so entertaining. Shame there’s no sound. A bit of accompanying oinking wouldn’t go amiss.
