Lake Erie and Black River Landing Cams in Lorain

Lake Erie just misses being ranked in the top ten list of the world’s largest lake, but that doesn’t mean its dimensions are in any way diminutive. Its shoreline measures almost four-hundred kilometres and stretches through four US states plus the Canadian province of Ontario. You’d need to be orbiting the globe in the space shuttle to see it in its entirety so don’t expect to get more than a glimpse of it on this collection of webcams streamed by Live 4K.

The views of Lake Erie you can see on these live feeds are coming from Lorain, Ohio, a city that’s developed at the point where the Black River flows into the lake. Where there’s a river there’s a bridge and while Lorain has three, the one you can see here is the one Lorain can boast about. Why? The Charles Berry Bridge, named after a local heroic Marine, is the second biggest double-leaf bascule bridge in the world

While you’re viewing the cams don’t be mistaken in thinking Black River Landing is just a convenient spot for boats to moor up, it’s not. Black River Landing is a huge park and open air venue that hosts more than a hundred annual events including the long-running Rockin’ the River outdoor concerts. Tune in when something is happening, turn the cam volume up to max and you’ll get some lakeside entertainment for free.
