Stonehaven Harbour Webcam

There’s no denying Stonehaven harbour isn’t blessed with the eye-pleasing and sun-dappled colours of a Mediterranean fishing harbour. After all, that’s to be expected as Stonehaven is in Scotland which is neither in the Med or renowned for its sunshine. It’s still got a lot going for it and gets a big thumbs up for being picturesque in its own way.

As strange as it may seem, this sleepy looking town on the southeast coast of Scotland has several claims to fame. Hogmanay, the Scottish New Year, is a celebration that sets the main street ablaze with a fireball festival which sounds amazing. Slightly more dubious is the town’s fish and chip shop’s reputation for inventing the deep fried Mars bar. In all honesty, the culinary world could probably have managed without that. One thing the world wouldn’t manage without today is the pneumatic tyre and Stonehaven is the birthplace of its inventor, Robert William Thomson. One thing for sure, it would be hard to get tyred of the views of Stonehaven you can see on this cam just try not to feel too let down if it happens to be raining.
