Reno City Plaza Webcam

If you suffer with vertigo this is one webcam you won’t want to view for too long. It’s not so great if you’re acrophobic either as the height this cam looks down onto Reno City’s plaza from is enough to make anyone dizzy.

While they’re a little hard to discern from the cams’ acute angle, the plaza is home to two of this Nevada city’s famous pieces of artworks. The three and a half metre high, steel BELIEVE sculpture, a rescued remnant from the 2013 Burning Man Festival and the Space Whale, a metal and stained glass sculpture of a humpback whale and its calf. While the significance of the Believe sculpture is pretty self-explanatory, the whale one not so much. It’s hoped it will help to convey a need to preserve nature, but looking at the state of the Truckee River on this live feed, it, just like us humans, is failing miserably.
