Slunj Town Centre Views
If you’ve ever wondered what Croatia is like away from the famous coastal cities of Dubrovnik, Split and Zadar, take a look at this live feed of Slunj and you’ll be wondering no more.
Slunj, yes that does rhyme with gunge, is a mountain town in northeast Croatia that’s closer to the country’s border with Bosnia than it is any of the three previously mentioned places. To sum Slunj up in a few words it can only be said that it’s the epitome of rural rusticity where it looks like nothing ever happens and there’s nothing to do.
Slunj does have a couple of claims to fame though and probably the most attractive of them is the Slunj-Rastoke. The Slunj-Rastoke is a village within the boundaries of the town where the Slunjčica River makes a dramatic and picturesque cascade next to some historic flour mills. Sadly the town centre you can see on this live feed is nowhere near as pretty, but as they’re the biggest cat loving community in Croatia, a boring town centre is forgivable.
