Skarsvåg Webcam in the North Cape
When it comes to fishing fleets in Norway, there’s none located further north than the one in the village of Skarsvåg on the Norwegian island of Magerøya. When the boats have all left harbour, there’s not a lot more of anything else to see.
Magerøya is connected to the mainland by road, but come the winter months it’s practically cut off from the rest of the world until the ice and snow thaw. While the E69 was laid to encourage tourism to visit this isolated location, it’s a tricky drive with plenty of twists and turns as well as narrow tunnels. The only compensation for making the hair-raising trip is the spectacular views of the North Cape coastline along the way.
