If you clicked into this live feed of Centraal Station in Amsterdam to do some train spotting or people watching, you’re out of luck. This webcam is focused on Stationsplein, a plaza in front of Centraal Station that’s undergoing a major renovation. Yes, it’s a building site.

Visible across the ongoing construction, which looks more like destruction, is the ornate facade of the 19th century Centraal Station building. The grandiose structure contains eleven platforms serving fifteen tracks and caters for almost two-hundred thousand passengers daily.

None of that mega-movement is discernible on the feed. As a minor compensation – you can see the trams going round the bend and stopping to drop people off at the station entrance.
